There is no account and no BooksLove server — the library lives on your device and syncs through your own iCloud. Scan a barcode to add a book, rate in half-stars, set a yearly goal, and export everything to CSV or JSON at any time, free.
A hundred words
BooksLove is a book tracker for iPhone and iPad, built for readers who want a record of what they read without handing it to anybody. There is no sign-up, no password and no server of the developer's: the library lives on the device and syncs through the reader's own private iCloud. Books are added by scanning the barcode on the back cover or searching millions of titles. Four shelves, half-star ratings, private notes, a yearly goal with a Home Screen widget, statistics and shareable Wrapped cards. Libraries import from Goodreads and six other services, and everything exports back out to CSV or JSON free, on any day.

The angle, if you want one
Most reading trackers are free because the reader is the product: an account, a feed, and advertising placed against a very personal list of what somebody has been reading. BooksLove takes the opposite trade — no account to sign up for, nothing advertised, and an export button that works free on any day, so leaving is as easy as arriving.
The app does not claim to contain zero third-party code. It contains exactly two libraries, both named on a screen inside the app together with what each one receives, and the same list appears in the Privacy Policy and on the home page. That is a deliberate choice: a checkable claim is worth more than an impressive one.
